LIFF: Celebrating the Next Generation of Storytellers
The Langkawi International Film Festival (LIFF) proudly invites young filmmakers to take part in “Future Storytellers” a special initiative spotlighting Malaysian aged 10–17 who dream of making their mark in cinema.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Films must be 3–6 minutes long
- Spoken language must be Malay (with English subtitles)
- Themes may include homeland, school life, family, friendship or future dreams
- Films must be directed or co-directed by the applicant
HIGHLIGHTS
- Top 10 films will be officially screened at LIFF 2026 in Langkawi.
- A dedicated jury of filmmakers and industry professionals will select the winners.
- Winners will receive trophies, cash prizes and certificates at a special award ceremony.
Selected participants will also be invited to exclusive youth masterclasses during the festival.
