Festival Guidelines for Visitors
Registration & Accreditation
- All visitors, guests and delegates must register or obtain festival accreditation before entering screening venues and official events.
- Accreditation badges must be worn visibly at all times.
- Online registration is available at www.liff.com.my before your arrival.
Screenings & Events
- Arrive 15–20 minutes before screening or event start times.
- Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise reserved.
- Photography, videography and audio recording inside screening halls are strictly prohibited.
Please switch off or silence mobile phones during screenings and sessions.
Open-Air Screenings
- Bring your festival pass or wristband for entry to outdoor venues.
- We recommend light clothing and insect repellent for evening screenings.
- In case of rain, screenings may be delayed or relocated to an indoor venue.
Masterclasses, Panels & Workshops
- Participation is open to registered delegates, students and industry members.
- Seats are limited - please pre-register through the LIFF website or information desk.
- Participants are encouraged to prepare questions for interactive sessions.
Festival Venues & Attractions
- LIFF venues include Panggung Seni (Main Venue) Pantai Cenang (Open-Air Island Screenings) Eagle Point (Celebrity Red Carpet Gala), Hotel Ball Room (Award Gala)
- Explore Langkawi’s beauty through island tours, cable car rides and night markets.
- Official festival maps and shuttle schedules are available at the Information Desk.
Transportation & Accessibility
- Shuttle services connect major venues, hotels, and the airport.
- Car rentals and taxis are widely available.
All primary festival venues are wheelchair accessible.
Ticketing & Payments
- Tickets for screenings, galas, and special events can be purchased online or on-site.
- Payments accepted: credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and cash (MYR).
- Duty-free shopping is available across Langkawi for international visitors.
Sustainability & Etiquette
- Respect the natural environment, cultural sites and local communities.
- Be courteous to volunteers, staff and fellow attendees - LIFF is a celebration of unity and creativity.
