Eirik Heggen is an award-winning animator, director, and illustrator from Stavanger, Norway. He is known for crafting imaginative animated films rooted in his own original stories and distinctive artwork. His creative practice blends classical drawing techniques with modern animation, resulting in films that feel both timeless and surreal.

Eirik studied classical drawing at The Animation Workshop – The Drawing Academy (2015–2016) before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation from Volda University College (2016–2019). His filmography includes Yokai (2019), Tanabata (2020), Kusanagi (2020), and Pinea (2023), all of which demonstrate his strong visual identity and fascination with myth, folklore, and nature.

Through his work, Eirik continues to explore storytelling beyond words, using animation as a medium to evoke emotion, mystery, and wonder.
