Yalla Parkour

Areeb Zuaiter is a Palestinian visual storyteller born in Nablus, whose work explores art, identity, and social issues with a particular focus on the Middle East and North Africa. She holds an MA in Film and Video Production from American University in Washington, DC, where her thesis documentary was nominated for Sony’s Outstanding Thesis Award.

Her films have been selected and awarded at major international festivals including Annecy International Animated Film Festival (France), Aichi Friendship Film Festival (Japan), and the European Film Festival in Beirut, where her 16mm short Stained won the Jury Prize. Her documentary Colors of Resistance received multiple international awards.

Zuaiter has worked as a Film and Video Fellow at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and as a Technology Associate at the Associated Press. She previously led the Regional Training Department at the Royal Film Commission – Jordan and served as Head of Programming at the Amman International Film Festival (AIFF). She teaches Visual Literacy at American University and is a screenplay instructor with Sundance Co//ab. Yalla Parkour marks her debut feature-length documentary.
