Alessandro Garilli is an Italian director and screenwriter whose work spans cinematography, experimental video, advertising, and theatre. He has earned national and international recognition, including selection by Kodak for the European Film Academy in Paris.
His acclaimed short Io sono Rosa Parks won the MigrArti Cinema 2018 competition and received the “Best Message of the Second Generation” award at the 75th Venice International Film Festival.
The Other Way (La seconda via), recognized for its cultural significance and co-funded by MiC (2020), was a finalist at the Solinas Award and won Visioni future – Storie e progetti del cinema che verrà. The screenplay was also selected for the European Days in Turin.
