LIFF: WOMEN IN CINEMA SUMMIT

LIFF Women in Cinema Summit is a signature platform of the Langkawi International Film Festival (LIFF) dedicated to celebrating, empowering and connecting women across the screen industries-directors, producers, writers, actors, executives, critics and emerging creators. Set against the inspiring backdrop of Langkawi, the Summit brings together local, Asian and international voices for high-impact conversations on representation, leadership, financing, career pathways and the future of storytelling. Through keynote talks, curated panels, mentorship sessions and networking, the program champions equity and opportunity while spotlighting films and achievements that redefine how women are seen-and how they see the world. More than a discussion series, it is a movement within LIFF to elevate women-led cinema, build meaningful cross-border collaborations, and inspire the next generation of storytellers.
